ABOUT LETTERS FROM MANASSEH
There are parts of my story that only come out when I write them down. I’ve walked through family hurt that cut deep, pain that felt like it would never stop, heartbreak that changed me, and choices that I wish I could take back. But in all of that, I’ve seen how the Lord doesn’t waste any of it — He uses the hardest places to bring me closer to Him and to help others feel less alone.
Letters From Manasseh wasn’t just an idea — it’s a place to lay all of that down. A reminder that the same God who sees every hidden hurt is the same God who puts us back together, not perfectly, but with a kind of healing that lasts.
In the Bible, Joseph’s story means so much to me. He was betrayed by his own family, sold into slavery, lied about, left in prison — but God never left him. When God brought him out of all of that, Joseph named his first son Manasseh, which means “causing to forget” in Hebrew. He said, “God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” (Genesis 41:51) It wasn’t that his past disappeared — but God freed him from the bitterness and helped him move forward.
At the start of 2025, the Lord kept putting that name on my heart. He reminded me that He’s still the same — still turning hard places into something good, still helping us let go of what needs to be left behind, still making us fruitful where it once felt impossible.
Writing has always been how I process the hard things. It’s how I see the thread of hope in the middle of the mess. I don’t have it all figured out, but I know this: God doesn’t waste a thing.
Letters From Manasseh is my way of sharing that with you. The honest parts, the prayers, the words I hope meet you right where you are. I hope these letters remind you that you’re not alone. That God doesn’t walk away from the parts that still hurt. And that He can bring something good right where you thought nothing could grow.
If you’re here, I hope you find a little more hope than you had yesterday. I hope you feel seen and reminded that your story isn’t over yet.
Welcome to Letters From Manasseh.

about the author:
Hi, I’m Tanner — I love life’s quiet moments and big, honest feelings. I feel the Lord most in the wild places — under an open sky, barefoot in the grass, breathing in the wind and the rain like a promise He keeps making new. Give me a walk through the woods, a white chocolate mocha with half & half, an old book, and a patch of sunlight, and I feel at home.
I’ve experienced the fullness of heaviness and heartbreak — but the Lord has met me in every single one of those places. He’s shown me how He can take the hardest, messiest parts of my story and use them to help someone else feel less alone.
It’s my gift and my calling: to feel deeply, and to use words — written and spoken — to remind you that nothing is wasted. Not your heartbreak. Not your regrets. Not one tear you’ve cried.
That’s what Letters From Manasseh is for me — a place to lay it all down, so maybe you can too. A place to remember you’re never too much, never too broken, never too far gone for grace.
I’m so glad you’re here.
